Training Hub are pleased to announce an opportunity for Black Country GPs to apply for funding for CPD programmes. The deadline for all applications is until 28 February 2025.
The funding is for the cost of appropriate training courses which may include clinical topics, medical education or business management skills. This offer does not include salary support or backfill.
Applications can be submitted for a maximum value of £2,000 per applicant. However, the amount awarded will be confirmed to successful applicants in early March 2025 and is subject to the number of applications received. If the programme or course cost exceeds the amount awarded, the remaining balance should be funded by the applicant and/or their employer.
Courses can commence after March 2025 and should last no longer than 12 months. Depending on applicant numbers, priority will be given to those who have not accessed Training Hub funding previously (e.g. the Portfolio Careers scheme). It is recommended that you attach supporting documents to your application to allow the panel to evaluate requests.
Funding will be paid to the applicant's employing practice subject to a signed memorandum of understanding, therefore support must be provided by the practice.
Locum GPs may also apply providing they have the support of a Black Country practice for which they regularly undertake sessions.
