To mark World Suicide Prevention Day, we’re proud to announce the opening of the Amin Abdullah RCN Foundation Grant. Launched in 2022, this is an annual grant of up to £1,000 to fund nurse-led projects that focus on the mental health and wellbeing of nurses.
We welcome applications from UK registered nurses, and you do not need to be an RCN member to apply. Applications are open from 10 September and close at 5pm on 15 October.
Amin took his own life in 2016, following unfair dismissal from his job as a nurse at Charing Cross Hospital after coming to the support of a colleague who had been treated harshly by a patient. You can learn more about Amin and how the grant came to fruition here.
