Dr Katie Barber will present an overview of efficient menopause care, including hints and tips to facilitate effective menopause consultations, optimising day-to-day practice, together with a guide to assessing symptoms, diagnosis, management and prescribing. The event will include how to approach more complex menopause cases such as migraine, thrombosis and cancer (both personal and family history) in addition to managing bleeding issues and troubleshooting side effects and ongoing symptoms.
Dr Barber is an Accredited British Menopause Society Specialist and GP. She works across the NHS and private sector as a Menopause and Women's Health Specialist in Oxfordshire. She leads the Community Gynaecology Service (NHS) and has launched Oxford Menopause, a private service, in 2020. Dr Barber lectures across the UK, provides corporate menopause training, and mentors in both primary and secondary care.
