Nursing Associate/Trainee Nursing Associate Ambassador opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Nursing Associate to work with the Black Country Training Hub as a Band 5 Nursing Associate Ambassador. This role will support NAs and Trainee NAs working in general practice by providing clinical expertise and pastoral support as well as actively promoting the expansion of the TNA programme and embedding the role into the primary care workforce.
We recognise and value the contribution that Nursing Associates make to general practice and with numbers increasing we want to ensure they are getting the best support possible.
The post will be offered and funded on a sessional basis and will be equivalent to a Band 5 for one day per week at an hourly rate of £19.87 per hour until 31st March 2023.

The position is ideal for qualified General Practice Nursing Associates who have strong leadership, influencing and networking skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with NAs/TNAs and with the wider multi-professional team.
The role will provide personal and professional development by allowing the ambassador to:
• develop new initiatives which will support the development of the TNA role and enhance the learning environment for both TNAs and NAs,
• develop an increased knowledge in apprenticeships, ARRS roles and the TNA programme of education,
• have the opportunity to practice skills in project development, project management, facilitation, leadership, communication and presentation skills,
• actively support the recruitment and retention of TNAs from existing staff and support the recruitment of new recruits,
• to showcase work undertaken as appropriate.
The successful candidate will be expected to work across the Black Country area, this will involve some travel and some working from home.
Governance
A memorandum of understanding or contract must be signed with the Training Hub.
