Primary Care Quality Assurance (QA) Clinical Lead

The Black Country Training Hub is seeking to recruit a Primary Care Quality Assurance (QA) Clinical Lead. The purpose of the role is to support the Training Hub with the on-going quality assurance of learning environments (student and trainee placements) in primary care and implementation of the Health Education England (HEE) Quality Framework.
This opportunity is available on a self-employed basis or as a secondment opportunity. If the successful applicant is seconded, their employer will be reimbursed for the salary costs, including 30% 'on-costs' (tax, NI and pension).
The post will be funded for two sessions per week (one day) until 31 January 2024. The post will be funded at the equivalent to Agenda for Change Band 8a.
This role is a multi-professional one and therefore applications are invited from any professional group within primary care. The postholder will join a network of Midlands QA Leads and an induction programme delivered by the HEE Midlands Primary Care School commencing on 7 March 2023.
The main responsibilities of the post are detailed below and in the attached job description.
- Demonstrate engagement with Primary Care Networks (PCNs), Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) and GP Practices to secure buy-in of a unified learning environment approval process and ongoing quality assurance (QA) of learning environments.
- Demonstrate engagement with the Primary Care and GP Schools.
- Participate in the induction programme.
- Demonstrate engagement with the Training Hub Quality Leads Forum.
- Support the implementation of online tools and associated paperwork.
- Highlight successes and challenges to enable wider learning across the Midlands Training Hubs.
- Work with the Black Country Training Hub and other stakeholders to promote the benefits of training and encourage recruitment of non-training practices/environments.
