HCA Ambassador

£14.35

Vacancy for HCA Ambassador

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HCA to support the Black Country and West Birmingham Training Hub as a HCA Ambassador. This role will support the HCAs and help to develop and retain the General Practice HCA workforce by providing clinical expertise and contributing to workforce transformation.

We recognise and value and contribution that HCAs make to general practice, and with the numbers of HCAs increasing we want to make sure that they are getting the best support possible.

The post will be offered and funded on a sessional basis and will be equivalent to a Band 3 for a day per week on a Training Hub hourly rate of £14.35 per hour until 31st March 2023. The role is likely to be extended beyond this date subject to confirmation of funding.

The HCA Ambassador will not be employed by the Black Country and West Birmingham Training Hub, therefore if you are interested in this role and work full time in a GP Practice you would need to seek approval from your Practice to undertake this commitment. The Training Hub would then reimburse the Practice for your time to allow you undertake one day a week with the Training Hub. If, however you work part time in a GP Practice and you would be undertaking this role within your own time then you would be reimbursed directly.

The position is ideal for General Practice HCAs who can demonstrate experience of working across the Black Country and West Birmingham, who have strong leadership, influencing and networking skills, and have evidence of maintaining and building relationships with HCAs and with the wider multi-professional team.

If you would like to be considered for this role please complete and return the below form to primarycare.blackcountry@nhs.net by 6TH September with interviews to take place on 13th September in the afternoon.
