Hours will be 30 hours per week, working Monday to Friday.

About us
We are a friendly, innovative and progressive training practice, in Wolverhampton serving around 13,500 patients. The practice comprises of 6 Partners, 3 salaried GP’s and a large supporting team of clinical and administrative staff.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Medical Notes / Summariser position on a temporary 3 months contract to join our team, reporting to the Practice Co-Ordinator.
This is a busy role within our Practice and we are building on our commitment in delivering a high quality service to our patients. The work requires accurate and precise processing skills, and someone who is hard working, able to work both independently and within a team.
Duties include
The role is primarily:
- Calling and sorting patient records and letters in preparation for summarising.
- Reviewing medical records and producing an accurate summary of the patient’s medical history.
- Read and coding the information into the Practice clinical system
- Auditing data collection standards in the Practice
- Monitoring progress of notes summarising against Practice targets
- Monitoring patient call and recall systems
- Filing and retrieving paperwork
The ability to work independently, accurately and be well organised are all essential criterion. The preferred candidate will have excellent communication skills, be a team player and ideally have worked in general practice or a healthcare setting previously.
