GENERAL PRACTICE NURSE
Salary: Negotiable dependent upon experience
Working hours: 16 hours per week (including Saturday morning on a rota basis)
We are a friendly, innovative and progressive Practice, providing services to a diverse population. We operate out of a purpose-built practice which opened in July 2023, within the Wolverhampton area.
We have a fabulous opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic Nurse to join our multidisciplinary clinical team consisting of GPs, Physician Associates, Advanced Nurse practitioners, Nurse Practitioners, Specialist Nurses, Practice Nurses, Nurse Associate, Trainee Nurse Associate, Health Care Assistants, Paramedics, Clinical Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Dietician (this list is by no means exhaustive).
Applicants are welcome to apply without general practice nurse experience.
The successful candidate will be a team player with good communication and interpersonal and IT skills, self-motivated and willing to upskill in areas outside their competence and if required there would be an expectation to complete the Practice Nurse Fundamentals course.
Normal nursing duties will include the following: (this is a none exhausted list of duties)
Wound dressingsCytologyHealth PromotionVaccinations and Immunisations (Travel, Flu, Childhood and Adult)Infection Prevention and other AuditsChronic disease reviewsHealth AssessmentsContraceptive reviewsMinor surgery assistance to GP'sInjections (B12, hormonal, depo etc)
A full driving licence and access to a car is necessary for this role.
Prestbury Medical Practice is a professional and friendly training GP Practice looking after around 14,000 patients.
