Early Careers GP Networking Event- Virtual

Wednesday 26 February @ 13:00-14:00 via MS Teams!

Following on from the success of the network launch event, we are excited to be re-starting the training hub’s monthly peer networking sessions. A fantastic opportunity to come together with other early careers GPs with expert speakers on a range of clinical and non-clinical topics.

The session will be facilitated by Dr Kamran Naseem, one of our Early Career Leads, who was the First 5 Representative on the Clinical Design Reference Group for the transformation work. Dr Sidhu & Dr Naseem will discuss the designing of the strategy to set out what the transformation over the next ten years will look like.

For the next session we will host Dr Mona Sidhu, Primary Care Medical Director for the Black Country ICB and a practicing GP in Wolverhampton. Looking ahead, we know that improvements need to occur in Primary Care to make it work better for both patients and the workforce. It’s an integral part of the NHS, accounting for 95% of its total activity, yet the demand for Primary Care continues to increase. The Black Country ICB has therefore been working on a design for Primary Care Transformation over the next 10 years!  This strategy sets out the vision of how primary care can better meet the needs of those receiving and delivering care.

Join us for the session to get a glimpse into the future of Primary Care in the Black Country. What does it mean for our patients? What does it mean for Early Career GPs? How can we make sure we are ready for it? What support is available to us?
