The Black Country Training Hub have commissioned Optum to deliver a series of five interactive workshops to develop Workforce Planning skills across PCNs.

The training is aimed at those who are leading workforce planning initiatives within PCNs. This may be Clinical Directors, PCN Managers, Digital and Transformation Managers and other colleagues. We recommend that 1-3 people per PCN attend each topic.

PCN Workforce Training: Understanding our Population

• Defining Population Health Management and its impact on primary care demand

• Understanding the key principles and components of population health

• Application to real life - identifying needs of the present/future population that will inform workforce plans

There are four dates per topic, and they have been designed to be delivered at Place level to allow tailoring to individual Place requirements and to incorporate local insights. However, if you can’t attend the session for your Place, you are welcome to switch to another date! All sessions will be delivered via MS Teams.

6th September @ 9:30am -12:00pm Dudley

12th September @1pm - 15:30pm Sandwell

14th September @ 1pm -15:30pm Walsall
