M·E·L Research are working with Gateway Family Services, as commissioned by Black Country Integrated Care Board (ICB), to understand why the uptake of antenatal vaccinations—specifically for pertussis, COVID, and seasonal flu—has been low in the Black Country.

As a part of this research, we will be conducting a series of online interviews with healthcare professionals like you to understand your knowledge of the current state of antenatal vaccination uptake in the Black Country, its potential barriers, education materials currently on offer to pregnant women, and information sharing practices within healthcare systems. Additionally, we are looking to gather best practices from within the Black Country to help better understand how vaccination rates across the area could be improved.

If you are interested in this project and would like to carry out an online interview with one of MEL’s researchers, feel free to reply with your interest to this email or get in touch with Sophie from MEL Research at sophie.king@melresearch.co.uk who will be leading these sessions and will contact you to provide further details about the project and our objectives.
