On Friday 19 July, the majority of GP practices in the Black Country were affected by a global IT outage.

We can now confirm that the issues with the IT systems have been resolved, things might be a little slower for a while as the system catches up, but people should access primary care in the Black Country as normal.

Ryan Hobson, local GP and Chair of the Black Country Primary Care Collaborative, said: “Primary care across the Black Country has worked incredibly hard to see patients whilst managing the disruption of an IT outage.

“Services have now returned to normal and patients should continue to access primary care in the usual way.

“I’d like to thank our patients for their understanding and their continued support as we recover from this incident.”
