Main duties:
Provide comprehensive, evidence-based medical care to the registered patient population, including acute, chronic and preventive health issues.
Conduct both face-to-face and remote consultations, plus undertake home visits and clinical reviews as required.
Prescribe medicines safely and appropriately, in line with local and national guidance.
Maintain accurate, contemporaneous clinical records using EMIS Web and Accurx systems.
Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, QOF and IIF targets.
Support the wider multidisciplinary team (e.g. See & Treat, physiotherapists, mental health, social prescribers) to ensure timely patient access.
Act as a trainer/mentor: supervise GP registrars, medical students, physician associate trainees and other learners; contribute to teaching, tutorials, clinical supervision and quality assurance.
Take part in continuous professional development, appraisals, revalidation, and maintain evidence of learning and reflection.
Contribute to practice development, service improvement, preventive care, digital transformation, and integration with community / secondary care services.
Adhere to professional and governance standards (GMC Good Medical Practice, NHS policies, data protection, safeguarding, infection control).
